Glamping Pods

Why not give glamping a go at one of the best camp sites in the Yorkshire Dales? Glamping is on the rise, and so our caravan and camping site would not be complete without four marvellous, locally-made pods!

Each pod can sleep a family of four (two adults and two children), or a maximum of three adults, and is situated at the edge of our beautiful, scenic touring park. Deceptively spacious, warm and dry, you can enjoy all the fun of an outdoor holiday without any tent to bother with. Our pods are fully insulated, dry and have lighting, two electric sockets and the all-important kettle.

Pods 1, 3 and 4

There are two bed bases that can be used separately as singles, or fastened together as a double, with plenty of carpeted floor space for a further two mattresses. As well as the kettle, there is a small table and fan heater. Outside, there is lots of space for parking, and you’ll find a picnic bench, a fire pit and of course breath-taking views.

Pod 2

Pod 2 is our dog-friendly pod, complete with outdoor dog pod kennel and has all the facilities of pods 1, 3 and 4, but no bed bases. As well as four people, this pod can accommodate one clean, well-behaved dog, that must never be left in or around the pod on its own, must be kept on a lead at all times, and walked off the park, with all mess picked up and disposed of.

Bring with you

You will need to bring all the things you would normally bring with you for camping: blow-up mattresses, pillows, sleeping bags and cooking equipment. Although there is lighting in the pods you may wish to bring battery-operated lanterns and torches. You’re also welcome to bring your own logs for the firepit.

Facilities

All Studfold glampers have full use of the excellent toilet and shower facilities on site, which include showers, deeps sinks, hairdryers in the ladies’ facilities, baby change area and disabled facilities. There is also our wonderful, undercover camping shelter for you to use, which has a barbeque, pizza oven and socialising area. You will need to bring your own fuel for cooking here.

Playing field

We have a large flat field area for children to run about and play ball games in. There is also access to the beck running adjacent to the camp site that children love to splash about and build dams in, but young children must be supervised at all times here.

Cooking

We don’t allow any naked flames or cooking equipment/barbeques in the pods or on their balconies, although you can grill on the firepit provided that is set away from your pod. You can bring your own logs or buy a bag from Reception.

If using a barbeque, it must be set up off the grass – we have bricks you can use for this. Glampers are also welcome to bring their gazebo for an undercover area for their cooking equipment. Alternatively, there are barbeque cooking facilities, including pizza oven, in the camping shelter near Reception.

The Nidderdale Way Cafe

We have the amazing, and reasonably priced, Nidderdale Way Cafe onsite where you can buy and order breakfast and picnics, as well as enjoy delicious homemade snacks and cakes.

Shop

We have a small shop onsite at Reception that sells basic provisions, sweets, soft drinks, ice-cream, small toys and gifts. There are many shops in the local town of Pateley Bridge nearby, and supermarkets in Ripon and Harrogate. There are also two traditional Yorkshire pubs in walking distance that serve excellent food and good beer.
